The New Orleans Saints have agreed to terms on a one-year contract with free agent linebacker Clint Ingram. General Manager Mickey Loomis announced the deal Wednesday, but didn't provide details. Ingram, a 2006 third-round draft pick by Jacksonville, has played his entire four-year career with the Jaguars, appearing in 56 regular-season games with 46 starts.

In his first interview since filing a lawsuit against the Saints on April 30, former security director Geoffrey Santini earlier this week said he wasn't going to stand by and witness crimes in the alleged theft of pain pills from the team's drug locker.

Santini, who withdrew his suit on Thursday, told Gannett Louisiana that the team wanted to try and cover up the theft of Vicodin pills by assistant head coach/linebackers coach Joe Vitt and the abuse of the painkillers by coach Sean Payton—which led to Santini's resignation.

In the suit, Santini claimed that one senior staff member who had a medical condition stole Vicodin from the drug locker and that another who did not have a medical condition was abusing the painkillers.
